I am already a big fan of Simple footwear – they tend to be stylish, long wearing and comfortable, and they keep adding more great eco friendly products to sweeten the deal. Sure, Simple’s can be a little on the spendy side, but if you’re going to actually love a shoe and wear it often and probably for a couple years, the return on investment is high. The women’s Toemale looks super snuggly for cozy winter wear – these boots remind me of spats with their lighter colored edging and large oversized buttons. I find that greatly attractive. The upper is made of hemp, lined in organic cotton fleece, and features coconut buttons. The top sole is constructed of natural latex and cork, and the whole boot is brought together with water based cements. It takes a certain sort of boldness to wear bright pink boots, but when you add in glossy patent leather and AirWair, you’ve got a real punk rock winner. These cute little 8 holes feature pink patent leather with a firm finish and a smooth, semi-bright appearance. Check out these retro-cool spotted hemp tennies from Simple – they are even reasonably priced for the brand! If you like the shoe, but not the spots, it is available in 6 solid colors – adriatic blue, black, cub, natural, rabbit and sahara sun. I love the spots, and was hard pressed to choose which color combo was my favorite – the green or the blue? Rabbit/adriatic blue is pictured below. What a great use of hemp! The shoe lining is organic cotton, the outsole is made of recycled car tires, and the foot forms are made from 100% post-consumer paper pulp, so these shoes are definitely eco friendly.

Hot damn, this short silk dress is saucy! I can certainly imagine that at it’s original price of nearly $300 the cost is what stopped this super sexy piece from selling out. Now it’s available for just under $100, which makes it a super score that your boyfriend (or girlfriend) is going to love. Available in french blue or mulberry (pictured below), this 100% silk-jersey dress is covered in tiny sea horses. Not just sexy, but also super cute! The dress features adjustable spaghetti straps and elastic banding at the empire waist. It can be worn alone, or would make a charming layering piece with phenomenal drape. These fetching cold weather boots actually make me sad that winter is coming to an end. Earth brings you a current lodge style boot with lots of benefits besides furry cuteness. They have a soft thinsulate lining for warmth and negative heel technology that is said to improve bodily alignment through wear. The boots also feature decorative toggle accents and faux fur trim with the all-important side zip entry which actually makes them easy to wear. 4 color choices are available in suede, and 3 in microfiber for the stylish but vegan. I have become addicted in the last year or so to slip-on shoes and their easy comfort. I like most things Keen, and own a few pair of their sandals. They are a good fit for me, and pretty rugged as well as reasonably styled. They recently released these cute little ballerina style slip ons in 5 colors, and I can’t wait to get a pair. Choose from rust (pictured below), mineral blue, sweet pea, coffee liquer, or black. Featuring a waterproof suede upper and natural rubber and cork outsole. These ballerina flats will look good with jeans, capris, or a short skirt once the weather gets warmer.

I am strongly smitten with these tall and striking women’s snow boots from Earth. Who knew I would need a pair of over the calf, white furry boots to finish out the winter season and greet the coming of Spring? Heavily inspired by the Alaskan mukluk, the nubuck uppers are trimmed with exposed fleece. Heavy D-rings and all weather lug soles make these boots practical as well as stylish for cold weather. Choose from one of five colors and enjoy warm, dry toes on the slopes. These boots feature hand sewn construction for superior flexibility and comfort. I own a couple of Earth shoes already – a slip-on mary jane style similar to the Allure, and a zip up boot style like the Montage. In warmer weather I pretty much live in the slip-ons which are very comfortable, have nice high arches, and makes me feel more balanced. The boot style I own is very attractive and very snuggly, so I am pretty much sold on their signature negative heel technology and general approach.

With rubber bumpers on the toe and heel, their design is similar to the signature style of Keen. Featuring a contoured leather foot-bed and quick closure system, these J-41 shoes are made for comfort on the go. Available in 6 different color combinations, I like the blue/white combo best (shown below), but it was a hard choice to make. These shoes are eco-friendly in having a partially recycled rubber out-sole.
