This splendid tee shirt from indie designer Seibei is freakin’ awesome! Perhaps you are a little tired of the love of all things Japanese and seeing tee’s (and tattoos) of their kanji alphabet all over the place, yet knowing most people wearing the characters cannot read or write kanji. This “Super Homosexual” shirt might finally be the kanji tee for you! The graphic features an image of the author Mishima Yukio, pink and white kanji lettering that says super homosexual, and some pink and white stars for added punch. To be fair, the Japanese have big love for all things American and when I was there years ago I saw the most improbable english language tees - if you don’t already visit Engrish.com, you should.

If you are not familiar with Artifexshirts.com, you should check them out. They are a relatively new company with a grand vision of how the future could be, with less pesticides through growing organic cotton, less carbon dioxide emissions, and more great alternative energy sources like wind turbine farms. With each purchase of a windmill tee through their website, they are donating $3 to Native Energy, an organization that facilitates the production of clean energy projects. Purchases are currently funding the Owl Feather War Bonnet Wind Farm in St. Francis, South Dakota which would not have existed without this program and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. A 50’s inspired zombie graces this stunning red men’s tee from Creep Street. Covering a sizable portion of the shirt, the leprous looking fellow reaches out for a helping hand, but you know he’s really after your brains! With text in the lower left corner of the zombie print saying “Feast on Flesh” in a ghoulish font, this shirt is pure zombie. Made of 100% cotton, there is a tiny logo on the sleeve, but it’s pretty inoffensive so could probably be ignored, or easily removed. Currently on sale at Karma Loop. I did not find a specific movie associated with this tee (was hoping for some fabulous cheezeball flick from the 70’s or something) but I did like the plot of this almost-properly-named film, Placer Sangriento (1967), which translates to “feast of flesh.”

I am totally smitten with this home-made plush flannel banana toy. Maybe I can get one and fill it with catnip for Kingston, thus creating an excuse to own one since I am child free. Brought to you by Etsy seller Plushoff, who is a crafty stay at home mom, she offers a veritable smorgasbord of fun plush possibilities, including bacon and a t-bone steak. Ms. Banana is 10 inches tall and two inches wide, and can be slipped out of her peel as desired. Maybe you have room in your stuffed animal collection for this little yellow fruit.
