The Cushee undoubtedly gets it’s name from the nice big insole which looks like it might make a day of wearing these flip flips from Simple Shoes a delight. While not officially part of Simple’s Green Toe line, we gave them an eco friendly rating for effort. The shoe is after all constructed using hemp, and a recycled rubber out sole. Simple even goes as far as to ship their products in biodegradable bags. Many companies have jumped abourd the green train in an effort to profit, Simple is not one of them. They continue to show creative ways to make appealing shoes while taking real measures to do what they can to cut down on harmful waste.

Dang but this is one of the coolest hoodies I have seen for the summer. Brought to you by the indie design crew at Supermaggie, it showcases their cephalopod love and fine aesthetic sensibilities. Front and center is a large black octopus, while the back is covered with a more detailed print which includes an upside down octopus as well as multiple blue waves. The two sided, two color print really makes this v neck hoodie stand out as a fabulous find. Printed on an oatmeal colored raglan pullover hoodie and made of a unique eco-fabric which is knitted imperfectly to create a vintage look, it is machine washable. With sleeves that hit above the elbow, marsupial pockets, and a plunging v neckline it’s both cute and perfect for layering.

Check out these retro-cool spotted hemp tennies from Simple - they are even reasonably priced for the brand! If you like the shoe, but not the spots, it is available in 6 solid colors - adriatic blue, black, cub, natural, rabbit and sahara sun. I love the spots, and was hard pressed to choose which color combo was my favorite - the green or the blue? Rabbit/adriatic blue is pictured below. What a great use of hemp! The shoe lining is organic cotton, the outsole is made of recycled car tires, and the foot forms are made from 100% post-consumer paper pulp, so these shoes are definitely eco friendly.

I am a big fan of the New York based designers at Loomstate - they bring nice details and organic fibers to a casual wardrobe that is both classic and stylish. Check out these cute and flattering straight leg corduroy pants currently on sale at Sodafine. Made of 100% organic cotton, they feature a 7.5 inch rise and the slightest bootcut flare at the ankle of the pant. Brown and slinky, these cords would look great with some cute mary janes or maybe ballet flats or tucked into some tall boots for a long lean silhouette. Marked down 40% from their original price, they are still available in most sizes

Hot damn, this short silk dress is saucy! I can certainly imagine that at it’s original price of nearly $300 the cost is what stopped this super sexy piece from selling out. Now it’s available for just under $100, which makes it a super score that your boyfriend (or girlfriend) is going to love. Available in french blue or mulberry (pictured below), this 100% silk-jersey dress is covered in tiny sea horses. Not just sexy, but also super cute! The dress features adjustable spaghetti straps and elastic banding at the empire waist. It can be worn alone, or would make a charming layering piece with phenomenal drape. Requires dry cleaning and the sale is final, so the dress is non-returnable.

Wow, who knew you could use your 4 legged pals’ scrap hair from brushings and have a custom dog hair hat knit by indie designer Lisa from Handspun Hats? (some restrictions do apply - check out the doggy hats page for more details) All the available hats are hand knit from hand spun and hand dyed yarn. Lisa is one hell of a hardcore maker! I am smitten with this blue and red round hat which happens to include Akita hair. A medium weight knit, this charming round cap is designed to cover the ears. Other fibers used include Corriedale wool, Merino wool and tussah silk. This hat is number 18 on the page.

Price: $48.00

Someone at the Stabo company stumbled upon a warehouse full of old WWII canvas tents and had the brilliant idea to recycle them into pants. These brown or green pants have obviously got a nice authentic worn in look to them, and the rolled up cuff came through the process of design and redesign (the length is long, but they claim they will shorten them for you if you like). They are hand crafted and have additional patches added by hand to areas which were worn through. The cut is loose, and they have a nice embroidered pocket on the back for extra class.

There’s so much to love about this super spendy cashmere coat from Raw 7. Gaze at it’s splendor, and know that if I could scrape together the needed cash this would be the best jacket of all time for me, and I might opt to be buried in it. Truly a wearable work of art, this pearl colored 100% cashmere coat falls to the knee and features a large tiger graphic across the coat tail. The tiger is bright eyed and ready to engage while surrounded by flowers - perhaps catnip! The embroidered flowers wrap around the sides a bit, plus there’s an additional bit of floral goodness up on the center back panel. This fitted and sexy jacket also features a detachable sash belt - looks great on the model, but you are not stuck with it.

Cute, organic and these trippy panties use thermochronic ink in their tree graphic? I was not familiar with the term “thermochronic” - it means that once the panties are warmed by your skin the leaves on the tree disappear. Pretty cool! Brought to you by the British company Greenknickers, these underwear are bright yellow with a tree design gracing the front. Made of 100% organic cotton, these undies have a high rise waist and full rear coverage.
