Mission Playground Women’s Sophie Top: charming and flirtatious blouse
We here at BirdFight are big fans of the indie design consortium known as Mission Playground. In business since 2003, they have always had stylish designs as well as a positive message about sustainability and environmental preservation as espoused in their mission statement – “The Earth is our playground. Our mission is to preserve it.” I am smitten with their Sophie top, which is made of 95% merino wool and 5% spandex, and is available in black (shown below) or chocolate. Released during the Fall season of 2008, I love the scooped neckline with spaghetti drawcord, which adds a bit of flirtation and femininity to what might otherwise be just another basic long sleeved top. Also featuring thumb holes at the cuff of the long sleeves which provides a practical and cute built in half glove, which can be so very welcome on the colder days. Available in sizes small through XL.
