Simple Women’s Toemale Hemp Boots: cute, cozy and 100% sustainable

I am already a big fan of Simple footwear – they tend to be stylish, long wearing and comfortable, and they keep adding more great eco friendly products to sweeten the deal. Sure, Simple’s can be a little on the spendy side, but if you’re going to actually love a shoe and wear it often and probably for a couple years, the return on investment is high. The women’s Toemale looks super snuggly for cozy winter wear – these boots remind me of spats with their lighter colored edging and large oversized buttons. I find that greatly attractive. The upper is made of hemp, lined in organic cotton fleece, and features coconut buttons. The top sole is constructed of natural latex and cork, and the whole boot is brought together with water based cements. Not only are these boots 100% sustainable, they are 100% vegan, which makes them super green. Woo-hoo! Available in black (shown below), or chocolate.

So … do you know anyone who has the Toemale in a 9.5 or 10? Or even just in any size over 6.5?

Are they actually good in snow? they dont look like they would be. Also they dont look warm really..

I settled for the shorter boot and they’ve been great so far. They aren’t rain boots, but they’re sealed high enough up on the foot that they’re pretty good for walking on slushy streets.

They aren’t particularly warm or cold. I wound up getting a half size up (I usually wear a 9.5 or 10, I got a 10) and with arch inserts they’re a perfect fit. Without arch inserts I can fit pretty thick socks inside.

They’re definitely not super thermal. Maybe try the Toetally?
